Introduction

MSc Chemistry or Master of Science in Chemistry is a career-oriented postgraduate course of 2 years. The course is specially curated for the students willing to gain a more powerful grip over the areas of chemical reactions and chemical composition of substances. The basic eligibility to pursue MSc Chemistry is a graduate degree in Chemistry or an allied discipline from a recognized college with at least 50% or more marks. .

The department boasts of its well qualified faculty members who have received their doctoral degrees from reputed institutes/universities.The Department has state of the art lecture halls.

This M.Sc. (Chemistry) Program includes various core, electives, and other interdisciplinary courses. The diverse lab experiments allow students to understand the fundamental aspects of the subject. A choice of advanced elective courses offers a glimpse in the frontier areas of research and allow students to work on one-year research project as a integral part of their M.Sc. programme. The programme also provide adequate exposure to the students for pursuing higher education in the field of technology (M. Tech.), Physics (M.Phil./Ph.D.) and other job opportunities in academia and industry.
