Electronics and Communication Engineering

Introduction

Electronics & Communication Engineering was primarily the outcome of telephone, radio and television equipment development and the large amount of electronic systems development came during World War – II. Electronic Engineering as a profession sprang from technological improvements in the telegraph industry in the late 19th century and the radio & telephone industries in the early 20th century. Electronics & Communication Engineering department came into existence in the year 2002. The department strives to provide technologically and vocationally trained graduates which enables the institution to meet the career needs of the community and satisfies the requirements of industry and professional world.

Many ultra modern laboratories in various areas of electronics & communication engineering like Electronics Devices and Circuits, Analog Electronics, Instrumentation, Control System, Digital Electronics, Linear Integrated and Circuits, Micro-processor, Micro-controller and Embedded System, Analog Communication System, Digital Communication System, VLSI Design, Microwave were set up in order to provide excellent practical training to the students. The department has highly qualified and competent faculty members in the areas of digital signal processing, data communications & networking, mobile and wireless communications micro-processor, VLSI & Embedded systems.

Electronics and Communication engineers have to perform the various duties at their workplace such as designing of process or mechanical equipment, improving the functionality and reliability of mobile devices. It includes the study of subjects like image and video processing, advanced digital signal processing and advanced communication engineering. .
